The teaching staff who work at our setting are:
Abby is a qualified teacher, having been a Primary School teacher for the past 15 years, mainly teaching Reception. Her roles have included being Foundation Stage Coordinator, overseeing a Preschool.
Abby is passionate about Little Owls, having been a parent and committee member for 3 years. She feels Little Owls is a unique setting, where every aspect is considered from the child’s perspective. She loves it so much she has joined the teaching team!
Abby is at Little Owls Monday to Thursday.
Anita is a very experienced Early Years practitioner, having a background in Steiner education, working at Cambridge Steiner school. Anita is particularly gifted at encouraging and developing children’s experiences and learning in the great outdoors. She is a keen gardener and shares her abilities with the children well with our vegetable plot.
Anita is at Little Owls Tuesday to Friday.
Sobia Mir, Playroom Assistant
Sobia has worked in childcare since 2005. She is fully qualified, having achieved a Diploma in Childcare and Education, level 3. Sobia has worked in a day nursery, a pre-school and a Primary School, which has given her a wealth of experience in caring for a wide range of children of different ages and in a variety of settings.
Sobia’s previous experiences have equipped her with the skills to provide a safe, clean and friendly environment for children. The children particularly enjoy baking bread with her which is a great source of fun for them.
Sobia is trained in First Aid for Early Years and is a Designated Person for Safeguarding. Apart from English, she is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi, also being able to read and write Arabic.
Sobia is in Little Owls Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Hayley is a bubbly and enthusiastic member of staff who lives locally with her three children. She grew up in Devon but has lived here since 2012. Hayley has worked at Little Owls since 2017.
We also have a team of experienced, reliable temporary staff who help out from time to time when necessary.

Suzy grew up around Cambridge and has lived in Haslingfield since 2005. Both of her two girls have loved going to Little Owls. Suzy formerly worked in the construction industry and now works as a student manager at a local sixth form college.

Laura grew up in Haslingfield and moved away when she started University. After living in a number of places around the country, Laura moved back in 2017 with her husband and two children, one of whom is at Little Owls. Laura works as a solicitor for a professional services firm.
Serena Goon: Funding and Invoicing
Poppy has lived in Haslingfield since 2007 and is the mother of three boys, two of whom who have gone to Little Owls. Poppy juggles her role as Mum with being a lawyer and specialises in education matters.

Mandy Robinson: General Member
Mandy is a long-time committee member whose children both benefited greatly from the care and commitment of the Little Owls team. She is a primary school teacher who works across the primary age range.

Ella Pope: General Member
Ella grew up in Haslingfield and after living elsewhere, moved to Harlton in 2017 with her family. She has two children, her eldest is currently loving being at Little Owls! Ella works part time at Cambridge Assessment.
